Guntersville High’s JV cross country team had a plan and they stuck to the plan. And they ended up winning the county championship Tuesday at Willow Brook Golf Course in Asbury.

That plan was to run in a group as much as possible, hold back a little at the start – which went straight up a long, tough hill – then kick it for the final mile. The JV teams run a 2.1 mile course rather then the 3.1 mile course the varsity runs.
