Jay Jones had the hot hand to lead Asbury over Brindlee Mountain 58-43 in varsity boys basketball action Tuesday night.

Jones was 8 of 10 from the field, 11 of 15 from the free throw line for a game-high 27 points. Zach Adams tossed in 11 points for Asbury, Layne Bethune 8, Matt Wilson 6, Caleb Gentry 3, Mauricio Zurita 2 and Yahir Rodrigquez 1.

Matt Wilson was a force on the boards, grabbing 10 rebounds, the only player in the game to have double digits in that category.

Asbury got off to a fast start, building a 20-9 first quarter lead. The Rams were up 33-19 at the half and 47-28 going into the 4th.

Caleb Scott led Brindlee Mountain with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Andrew Byars and Devin Lewis scored 7 each.
