The Snead State Parsons baseball team finished the season strong by winning the North Division of their conference with an overall record of 33-13.
They defeated Lawson State on the road in a double-header to clinch the division and secure a No. 1 seed in the ACCC playoffs.
In the first game, Snead won 13-9. The second game wasn’t quite as close as the Parsons won 11-3. In the first game, former Guntersville Wildcat Cooper Self had one hit, one run and an RBI.
Snead took on Lawson State again last weekend in a double header at home. Again, the Parsons won both games by scores of 15-5 and 4-1.
Self scored three times and had one hit in the first game and did not have an at-bat in the second game.
The Parsons traveled to Ozark yesterday (Friday) to play in the first round of the ACCC playoffs. They took on the winner of Wallace State and Wallace-Dothan at 1 p.m.
