The Guntersville Lady Wildcats picked up a big 16-4 area win over Fairview on Thursday and improved to 5-7 on the year.

Guntersville got going quickly with five runs scored in the 1st inning, four more in the 2nd and five more in the 4th inning. The Lady Wildcats were able to score two more runs in the 4th inning as well.

Kaygen Shelton had four hits, Hollyn Jarmon and Brittany Slaton had three hits. Anna Vandergriff had a big day with 5 RBI and Mary Beck Weaver had 4 RBI. Addi Yarbrough pitched the whole game for Guntersville with four strikeouts and 12 first pitch strikes.

The Lady Wildcats took on Brewer yesterday (Tuesday) at home and will travel to Boaz tomorrow.
