After a close game through four innings, the Guntersville Lady Wildcats came up short of Albertville 6-1 Thursday night.

Guntersville traveled to Albertville to take on its biggest county rival for the third time in four days. Albertville got things going with one run in the first inning. Avery Dickerson was strong on the mound all game long for the Lady Aggies. She recorded 15 strikeouts and didn’t give up a run until the 7th inning.

The Lady Aggies scored three runs in the 5th inning and two runs in the 6th inning. Guntersville was only able to get the one run as Albertville walked away with the victory.

The Lady Wildcats are now 6-9 on the season with some big games coming up. They’ll compete in a tournament in Boaz on Friday and Saturday. Then, Guntersville will come back home on Tuesday to face Fairview for an area game.
